With Lithuanian basketball players having won five spectacular victories in Beijing, the official sponsor of the national men’s basketball team DnB NORD Bankas shall pay 0.5 percentage point higher interest rate to the customers who have placed Basketball deposits with the Bank, reported the press-centre of DnB NORD Bankas.

“We are pleased that our customers could enjoy the victories of the Lithuania’s team and once again apparently make sure that it is beneficial to use DnB NORD Bankas services” said the Manager of DnB NORD Bankas Retail Banking Department Ricardas Butkus.

AB DnB NORD Bankas, a member of international DnB NORD financial group, accepted Basketball deposits until 8 August with their interest rate directly linked with the performance of national men’s basketball team in Beijing.

AB DnB NORD Bankas had been increasing increased the Basketball deposit rate by 0.1 percentage point after each victory of the Lithuania’s squad.

This year AB DnB NORD Bankas customers parked a record amount – LTL 60 million, twice as much compared with the last year when the Bank offered the customers a possibility to earn more before the European Basketball Championship which took place in Spain.
