OREANDA-NEWS. On 25 August 2008 was announced, that according to month results in July, 2008 passenger traffic of Pulkovo airport had a total enrolment of 850 796 people, which is 31,6% more than it was in July, 2007, including:

Domestic airlines passenger traffic had a total enrolment of 361 840 people, which is 11, 9% more than in July, 2007.

International airlines passenger traffic to the foreign countries in July, 2008 had a total enrolment of 421 067 people, which is 9, 5% more than the number of passengers, carried in July, 2007.

Passenger traffic to the countries of C.I.S. increased by 64, 2% and had a total enrolment of 67 889 people.

The greatest increase of passenger traffic as compared with July, 2007 was observed on:

Domestic Airlines: Kazan (+316, 6%), Barnaul (+228, 4%), Arkhangelsk (+124, 9%), Syktyvkar (+118, 5).

International Airlines: Zurich (+625, 7%), Khurgada (+160, 4%), Rome (+146, 3%), Beijing (+144, 0%), Bangkok (+141, 8%), Izmir (+107, 0%), Iraklion (62, 5%), Athens (61, 0%). As compared with July, 2007 the operations of scheduled flights to Tokio and Djerba started.

C.I.S.: Namangan (+60, 1%), Dushanbe (+51, 6%), Samarkand (+22, 0%), Tashkent (+12, 5%), Yerevan (+12, 5%). In July, 2008 as compared to the same period of the last year the operations of scheduled flights started to Kishinev, Khudjand, Osh, Gyandju, Tbilisi.

The number of takeoff and landing operations in July, 2008 increased by 5, 0% and had a total enrolment of 9 696 movements. The volume of handled gross take-off weight (GTOW) is 368 453 tons, the increase is 9, 0% as compared with July, 2007.

Seven months results of 2008:

According to seven months results of 2008 passenger traffic of  Pulkovo airport had a total enrolment of 4 063 492 people, which is 23, 3% more than the activities of the seven months of 2007, including:

Domestic airlines passenger traffic had a total enrolment of 1 935 550 people, which is 29, 3% more than during the seven months of 2007.

International airlines passenger traffic to the foreign countries for the seven months in 2008 had a total enrolment of 1 827 045 people, which is 13, 9% more than the number of passengers, carried during the seven months in 2007.

Passenger traffic to the countries of C.I.S. had a total enrolment of 300 897 people.

The number of takeoff and landing operations increased by 17,2% and had a total enrolment of 55 089 movements. The volume of handled gross take-off weight (GTOW) is 1 970 thousand tons, the increase is 18,5% as compared with July, 2007.
