On 25 August 2008 was announced, that in a move to further enhance the company's corporate governance, OJSC RTM's Board of Directors took a decision to appoint Mr. Sergei Khrapunov General Director of OJSC RTM. Mr. Eduard Vyrypaev who was elected to this position for a period of one year in August 2007 intends to remain a Board member.

"Vast managerial experience and good knowledge of financial markets make Sergei Khrapunov well positioned to provide an additional impetus for the company's development", opines OJSC RTM's shareholder and member of the Board Eduard Vyrypaev. "I am also confident that having a non-shareholder in the position of the company's General Director will have a positive effect on OJSC RTM's perception by the investor community".

Sergei Anatolievich Khrapunov was born on July 11, 1974. In 1996, he received a degree in Economics and Management in the Machine Building Industry from the Kuzbass State University. He held the position of the Financial Director at ZAO Kuzbasskaya Sotovaya Svyaz from 2001 through 2004. Since September 2004 and until August 2008 Sergei Khrapunov was in charge of financial and economic policies at OAO Holding Company Sibirsky Cement as the company's vice-president.
