On 25 August 2008 was announced, that the leading international investors, Kazakhstan corporate executives and government officials will gather in Almaty on September 9-10 for the premier Central Asia-focused investor conference of the year. The conference is organized around the theme "Rediscovering Value. Navigating the Silk Road".

The event, Renaissance Capital's inaugural Central Asia Investor Conference, will feature Karim Masimov, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Gerhard Schroder, Chancellor of Germany (1998-2005), Alexander Pertsovsky, CEO Renaissance Capital, top-level Kazakhstan governmental officials, CEOs of the biggest Central Asian companies.
