Ukraine Increases Expenses for Road Construction
OREANDA-NEWS. August 22, 2008. The Government of Ukraine will increase expenses from the State Budget for road construction. Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko promised during the grand opening of Kharkiv-Krasnograd-Pereshchepyne automobile road in Kharkiv region.
According to Yulia Tymoshenko, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will insist on adoption by the Parliament a draft law on making amendments to the State Budget of Ukraine of the current year which is to envisage increase of expenses for road construction by 24.3 bn UAH. Prime Minister stressed it is fivefold from the budget of the last year.
Yulia Tymoshenko emphasized she would recommend the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine already in September to vote on respective changes to the budget first turn. The Head of Government explained increase of expenditures for road construction would enable building new roads of European quality in Ukraine.
Besides, Yulia Tymoshenko said the Government would ensure long-term crediting of road construction, providing with long-term credits for 20-30 years under the state guarantees.
