OREANDA-NEWS. On 22 August 2008 was announced, that it is the first time in twenty years major overhaul of the fluid-bed furnace №2 started in the roasting workshop of Ufaleynikel. In the course of the major overhaul the old furnace will be in point of fact fully dismounted, and the new one will be mounted. Metal sheath, kiln liner, bath plate, hearth bottom and cyclone will be replaced. At the present time kiln liner is already dismounted and metal sheath is cut off, after which mounting of new furnace mantle begins and the hearth bottom is poured – then fettling is made. The overhaul will be done without attraction of contracting organizations.
