OREANDA-NEWS. By the results of stock trades on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) on August 21, 2008 KASE index decreased by 61.43 points (2.9 %) from 2.109.94 to 2.048.51, the press-centre of KASE reported.

The first deal of the day locked in the index value on the level of 2.075.49. During the trades, maximal value of the index was registered at the level of 2.086.11, and minimal - at 2.048.51.

On August 21, the volume of deals with shares, included in the representative list of the index, increased in tenge terms by 16.5 times comparing to the previous day and made KZT266.9 m. (USD2,225.0 th.).
