30,890 Ukrainian Families Included in Lists of Flood-Hit People
OREANDA-NEWS. August 20, 2008. The number of flood-hit families in six Ukrainian regions included by the district state administrations in lists to receive assistance is constantly growing, the press service of the Ukrainian Labor Ministry told with reference to Labor Minister Liudmyla Denysova.
She said that as of 09:00 on Wednesday, the number of such families was 30,890, including 946 of them belonging to the first category of flood-hit families, 8,187 to the second category and 21,757 to the third category.
Denysova said that the situation in flood-hit regions is the following.
A total of 1,032 families in Vinnytsya region were included in lists to receive aid. Of them, ten belong to the first category, 470 to the second category and 542 to the third category.
There are 1,539 families of this kind in Zakarpattya region, including 20 belonging to the first category, 57 to the second category and 1,462 to the third category.
The number of flood-hit families in Ivano-Frankivsk region is 17,183, including 300 belonging to the first category, 4,838 to the second category and 12,045 to the third category.
The number of flood-hit families in Lviv region is 5,402, including one family belonging to the first category, 561 to the second category and 4,840 to the third category.
The number of flood-hit families in Chernivtsi region is 5,242, including 596 belonging to the first category, 1,971 to the second category and 2,675 to the third category.
The number of flood-hit families in Ternopil region, Denysova said, is 492, including 19 belonging to the first category, 280 to the second category and 193 to the third category.
