OREANDA-NEWS. On 21 August 2008 was announced, that in the building of BajkalBiznesTsentra on the subject problem of Lake Baikal a press conference was held. Efforts of federal and regional authorities on creation of conditions for rational nature use on Baikal territory.

In the press conference the deputy governor of Irkutsk Region V. Pashkov , acting as took part Head of the Territorial directorate of RusSEZ for Irkutsk Region E. Vokhmina, head of the Agency for Tourism of Irkutsk Region I. Riutina, board director of Siberian Baikal association of tourism I. Kovalenko.

At the press conference rose the effort problems of authorities for creation of special economic zone of tourist-and-recreational type, its significance for the preservation of Baikal ecological system and development of tourism of as town-forming branch, authority cooperation and business-structures, as well as the issues related to margin expansion of special economic zone of tourist-and-recreational type in the territory of Irkutsky district municipal entity of Irkutsk Region.
