OREANDA-NEWS. On 21 August 2008 was announced, that to further improve the passport system of Turkmenistan and bring it in compliance with the international standards the President of Turkmenistan issued the special Resolution.

The document approves the Regulations on the diplomatic passport of Turkmenistan and the Regulations on the service passport of Turkmenistan.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan is authorized to replace the diplomatic and service passports in accordance with the approved Regulations within the period till July 10, 2013. The old diplomatic and service passports are valid to the day of withdrawal.
