OREANDA-NEWS. On 21 August 2008 was announced, that Sheremetyevo International Airport continues to improve the insurance risk management system up to international standards. The high value of the property and assets of Sheremetyevo makes the airport focus on a careful selection of its insurers. That is why Sheremetyevo holds regular open tenders to select an insurer for insurance of the airport property against all risks.

For the third year running the winners are IJSC Ingosstrakh and ZAO AIG Insurance and Reinsurance. Sheremetyevo has insured its property. In particular, the all risk insurance covers all airport buildings, constructions and facilities. The insurance period is from September 1, 2009 till August 31, 2009. The total amount of the insurance is RUR 14 bn 500 mln. The participation share in the insurance of the co-insurers is 50% each. The property insurance contract is secured by obligatory property reinsurance contracts.

The tender was arranged by OOO Aon Rus Insurance Brokers. The short list of the participants included four insurance companies.
