OREANDA-NEWS. August 19, 2008. Russian Agricultural Bank is ranked number four by assets among the largest Russian banks in the second quarter of 2008, according to Interfax. During the quarter under review RAB’s net assets grew 31.79%, the press-centre of RAB reported.

In 1H2008 RAB loan portfolio amounted to RUR 360.2 billion. It grew RUR 67.6 billion compared to January 2008. Corporate loan portfolio reached RUR 311 billion; retail loan portfolio grew 17% and amounted to RUR 51.7 billion.

RAB has the second largest branch network in Russia with 77 regional branches and 1303 additional offices. Broad branch network allows RAB to provide availability of financial services to agribusiness enterprises and rural population, which makes up 25% of the total population of Russia.
