OREANDA-NEWS. On 20 August 2008 was announced, that experts of OJSC “Koks” have found Russian analogue of alloying material for new scarfing machine "NovoCOS". Earlier an expensive imported material was used for its work.

Use of Russian analogue allows reducing many times of financial expenditures with the same result. The principle of operation of the scarfing machine is based on the treatment of the surface of brick by abrasive material under high pressure in order to fuse it in future with the help of special-purpose powder on the same principle as the ceramic fusing. This liquidates cracks and blowholes appeared because of high temperature and prevents suction of gas into the fire system.

Ten tons of new alloying material is already purchased. Works on maintaining repair of coking plants are performed according to schedule. At the present time 10 ovens of coking plant №4 are repaired. On completion of works at it similar repair will be performed at other coking plants of the workshop.
