OREANDA-NEWS. On 19 August 2008 XXI Century Investments Public Limited (LSE: XXIC) announces the forthcoming redemption of the USD 150 million Guaranteed Secured Notes due 2011 (the "Notes") with 1,500 warrants attached (the "Warrants") on 25 August 2008.

The Notes will be redeemed at par together with accrued interest. The Warrants, each of which gives the Warrant holder the right to subscribe for 4,000 ordinary shares, will be cancelled on 25 August 2008.

In view of continued market uncertainty, the Company has decided to focus on the development and completion of its existing core projects for the time being rather than further expansion of its portfolio which would require new financing.
