OREANDA-NEWS. On 19 August 2008 was announced, that within the walls of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy was held the meeting of the task force of the International Exhibition of Calligraphy. By the way, the idea of this unique museum of writing located in Sokolniki Park in Moscow started up in the framework of the International Exhibition of Calligraphy.

The exhibition is to open in less than a month: it will take place at I. E. Repin St. Petersburg State Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture on September 16-21, 2008. At present time the preparations for the International Exhibition of Calligraphy are at full drive.

At the meeting they touched upon the intermediate results of the task force, evaluated the immense volume of work which is already done and discussed the plans for the future. At the meeting the project initiator Aleksey Shaburov said that the International Exhibition of Calligraphy had won support of the government. It is proved by the ETAT from the acting minister of culture of the Russian Federation Andrei Busyghin.

At the end of the meeting Aleksey Shaburov thanked the Team of professionals who made the International Exhibition of Calligraphy a significant project.
