OREANDA-NEWS. August 18, 2008. S7 Airlines, Russia’s largest air carrier by number of transported passengers on domestic routes, recently assisted in the organization of the Russian team’s trip to the European Boat Fishing Championship, reported the press-centre of S7 Airlines.

On August 10, 2008, 15 members of the team departured on a direct S7 Airlines flight to Dublin, from where they will proceed today to the Irish city of Cobh, where the competition will be held.
S7 Airlines provided the Russian team with uniforms, which the team will be able to use in the future at other tournaments, and also assisted with the transport of bulky equipment.

The European Boat Fishing Championship will be held from August 16-23, 2008. The European Federation of Sea Anglers has been the organizer of the competition for more than 20 years. The Russian division of the federation, which formed the Russian team, is for the first time participating in the championship, which is being held in Ireland.

S7 Airlines is the only airline that offers regular direct flights from Moscow to Dublin.

The flights are operated three times a week on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays on a modern Airbus A319 airliner. The first flight on this route was flown on April 27, 2008.
