On August 12, 2008 Energy Consulting/Integration has completed the project on development of the wireless infrastructure in SP BUSINESS CAR that maintains employees’ mobile wireless access to business applications, guest access for company’s clients, as well as service centers automation, reported the press-centre of Energy Consulting.

Mobile services and technologies allow to respond promptly to changing business requirements, to scale net infrastructure quickly and economically efficiently, as well as to perform integration with the existing telecommunication infrastructure. Company’s internal and external business processes that guarantee  sale of cars and services are automated and optimized by means of mobile wireless access.

Wireless infrastructure developed by Energy Consulting/Integration specialists meets fully strict requirements on maintenance of the following:

system safety management and monitoring;

integration with the existing  IT infrastructure and security systems;

Wireless infrastructure that was projected and realized in SP BUSINESS CAR by Energy Consulting/Integration specialists meets all abovementioned requirements. It covers nine SP BUSINESS CAR’s dealer centers that specialize in sale and aftersale servicing of Toyota and Lexus cars.

Infrastructure is based on Cisco solution and centralized architecture that guarantee unified management, control and safety of wireless services irrespectively of the way of its provision. It maintains 4 main types of wireless services:

access service of the company employees to business applications;

access services of service centers specialists to Toyota service documentation base;

access services of the company’s clients to information resources of SP BUSINESS CAR;

access services of guest users to the company’s IT resources.

In the long term the development of infrastructure implies creation of new services operating on the basis of wireless infrastructure.

Management and monitoring of the system is maintained by Cisco Wireless Control System software complex. Its function comprises not only infrastructure management (dynamic radio environment management, radio coverage zone control), but also extension of security monitoring function: tracking of location of non-authorized access points and clients, active countermeasures to attacks to wireless infrastructure.

Centralized wireless net architecture guarantees its virtualization, that is the Company obtains unified wireless net with controlled services set applied to the corporate IP net. From now scaling of safety wireless infrastructure involves simple addition of wireless access point at any IP corporate net point. Moreover, an entire wireless traffic is terminated in only one point that is a corporate internet screen which is the guarantee of its efficient control.
