OREANDA-NEWS. On August 14, 2008 Ural Steel (a subsidiary of Metalloinvest holding) was awarded the first prize in the 7th contest "Metals and mining enterprise of high social responsibility" in the concerning youth-oriented programs, reported the press-centre of Metalloinvest holding.

The annual contest is held by the Metals and Mining Industrialists Association of Russia and the Executive committee of the Russia’s metals and mining trade union. Ural Steel participated in it for the first time.

The policy of Ural Steel is remarkable for its special attention to youth’s problems and is aimed at providing young people with working places, giving them the opportunity for education in their native town and creating favorable conditions of life and leisure.
