Belgospischeprom Food Concern Sees ’08 Cap Investment Up 25%
OREANDA-NEWS. On 18 August 2008 was announced, that Belarus’ companies accountable to Belgospischeprom food concern plan to invest 425.6 billion Belarusian rubles (Br) in fixed assets this year, up 25% from the 2007 level, a representative in the concern told.
Foreign investment will amount to U.S. USD 36 million, of them USD 18 million of foreign direct investment.
Capital investment reached 119.4 billion rubles in the first half of the year, up 11% year-on-year, making 28.1% of the annual target.
January-June foreign investment amounted to USD 9.08 million, 25.2% of the target.
The key investment projects of the concern are creation of sugar beet pulp productions at Zhabinka, Skidel and Slootsk refineries, construction of a juice-making plant in Minsk, a distillery with a daily capacity of 6,000 decaliters, a facility to make bioethanol at Zhabinka refinery, reconstruction of the malt unit at OAO Belsolod.
