OREANDA-NEWS. On 18 August 2008 was announced, that Ernst & Young, a leading international business advisory firm, has announced that Keith Gaebel has been appointed the new country managing partner for Central Asia and the Caucasus.

Prior to his current role, Keith was the leader of Ernst & Young’s Financial Reporting Group in the CIS and has been advising clients on complex financial reporting issues for the past eight years. Keith has 20 years of public accounting experience and for the last 16 years has been working with clients reporting under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Keith has supported many clients with their international debut public offerings. He is a chartered accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Canada.

Ernst & Young’s practice in Kazakhstan is one of the most dynamically growing practices in the world. Ernst & Young was the first professional services firm to open an office in Kazakhstan in 1992. Today its Kazakhstan network of three offices in Astana, Almaty and Atyrau is headed by 13 partners and staffed by more than 450 people.
