Uzbekistan is Third on Industrial Growth in CIS
OREANDA-NEWS. On 18 August 2008 was announced, that Uzbekistan was on the third place on industrial growth in the Commonwealth of Independent States in the first half of 2008. The country's industry grew by 12.2% year-on-year in January-June 2008
Russia was on the sixth place among CIS states with the figure of 5.8% year-on-year. Industrial production in Azerbaijan and Belarus grew by 13.8% and 13.3% year-on-year respectively.
Ukraine's industrial output rose by 7.5% (fourth place) and Kyrgyz Republic's industrial production increased by 6% (fifth place). Moldavia and Kazakhstan registered 4.6% and 3.8% industrial growth respectively.
Industrial output in Tajikistan and Armenia decreased by 3.9% and 0.2% respectively in the reporting period.
