Kotinskaya Coalmine Set Record of Russia in Monthly Output Volumes
OREANDA-NEWS. On 18 August 2008 was announced, that the team of the "SUEK-KUZBASS"' "Kotinskaya" coalmine (section #1) has set a new record of Russia in the volume of monthly output (Mikhail Lupy, director of the mine, Alexander Izvekov, head of the section).
In July 2008,Vladimir Melnik's team mined 635,000 tons of coal from long wall #52-03 equipped with the DBT complex and SL-500 coal combine, with the total volume of the mine - 665,000 tons. The previous Russian record belongs to the same team - in May this year its members produced 601,500 tons of coal.
In all, during the previous five months of the year Vladimir Melnik's team mined 2.7 million tons of coal.
The average load of the working face with a seam capacity of 4.2 metres exceeds half a million tons. These figures correspond to the highest world standards of coal production. To date, the Russian record of annual coal output is 4,415 thousand tons by one long wall, which was set by the "Kotinskaya" mine in 2007.
