OREANDA-NEWS. On 18 August 2008 was announced, that after several days of the more-or-less active movement in the market and relevant fluctuations of liquid securities quotations, the PFTS index returned to its sideways movement. The major Ukrainian stock market indicator dipped 0.3% to 637 points, while the broader UFC index gained 0.05%. There were no sharp movements among sectoral indices as well: UFC Metals and UFC Engineering sank 0.03% and 0.5%, accordingly, while UFC Utilities managed to add 0.3%.

Despite the trend weakness, some securities demonstrated attempts to test their important levels. BAVL reached USD 0.15, but failed to have a full-fledged break through. Should this security overcome this level in the nearest future, it will be able to keep on growing to its resistance level of USD 0.18.
