OREANDA-NEWS. August 15, 2008. Representatives of Azerpocht State Enterprise (Azerbaijan Republic Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies) have visited Switzerland and Benelux cities.

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies informed that within the visit to post offices of Luxembourg, Belgium and the Netherlands it has been studied questions of the organization of financial and commercial services, their basic work principles of work and the major features of post-banking model.

"At the meeting held with participation of high-ranking officials of Swiss mail, the Azerbaijan delegation has been informed about the done work under Financial Services Development Project and forthcoming plans, has familiarized with a condition of financial services in post system of this country. It was also held meetings In Benelux countries’ post offices,” it was informed.

The WBG Financial Services Development Project has been realizing in Azerbaijan since 2005. It is planned to complete the project till the end of 2008 and to start rendering new services next year.
