OREANDA-NEWS. On 15 August 2008 was announced, that General Director of IDGC of Centre Evgeniy Makarov took part in work of the third European Commission "Intelligent Network". The action passed took place in Bruxelles.

"Intelligent network" is an electronic system which can coordinate actions of all users connected to it (both the generating companies and consumers) in order to deliver the electric power economically effectively, continuously and reliably.

The General Director of IDGC of Centre was invited to participation in discussion so that he could share his experience in construction of an effective company management system with application of modern tools, technologies and equipment. In particular, Evgeniy Makarov said that the system project on implementation of the automated efficiency management system and business processes on the basis of platform ARIS Process Performance Management covers all industrial divisions of IDGC of Centre. SAP modules regarding formation of productive supply to consumers and the balance of the electric power and billing are implemented, as well as maintenance service and repairs of the equipment, etc. The process of technological connection was automated.

"It is necessary to create a new and convenient system where the networks will be "palpable" and visible for users, and the latter, in their turn, will be "visible" in the network,” Evgeniy Makarov assured.

Leaders of the world market of information technologies took part in the meeting of the European Commission: Landis and Gyr, Booz and Hamilton, Mück Sturm, Intel.

Following the results of the commission meeting, the document of strategic distribution of electric networks of the future was developed. It specifies vision of participants of the commission on how we should move from today's electric networks up to those that secure the electric power safety policy. This goal was set forth by the European Parliament for 2020 and 2050. The designed strategy presents six business projects which will help to introduce "intelligent" networks; this document takes into account restrictions and assumptions, which are inevitable in the situation of the real world.
