OREANDA-NEWS. On August 12, 2008 Assets of Uzpromstroybank (Uzbek Industry and Construction Bank) reached 1.2 billion soums in the first half of 2008. Own capital of the bank made up 93.1 billion soums as of 1 July 2008.

The credit portfolio of the bank comprised 67.6% from total volume of assets of 808.6 billion soums. As of 1 July, the bank issued 14 billion soums of credits to young families and 5 billion soums of credits for construction and reconstruction of habitations.

Uzpromstroybank allocated 70 billion soums to support small and private businesses, while farms received 13 billion soums of credit in the reporting period.

Uzpromstroybank founded in 1922 in Tashkent as Central Asian office of Prombank. Currently, the bank is one of the largest commercial banks of Uzbekistan with large network of mini banks and offices.

The bank has uzA+ rating of Akhbor-Rating (Uzbekistan), B++ of Expert RA (Russia) and B of Fitch Ratings.
