IDGC of North-West Formed 93 Mobile Divisions
OREANDA-NEWS. August 13, 2008. The branches of IDGC of the North-West, JSC formed 93 mobile brigades consisting of 537 people. They dispose of 224 units of equipment - automobile, tractor, load-lifting and special equipment.
Formation and training of the personnel of mobile divisions is an obligatory part of annual preparation of IDGC of the North-West companies for work during the autumn and winter period. Mobile brigades’ aim is to provide reliable electricity supply in case of non-routine events and operative elimination of emergency switching-off in the distribution grid complex of the Northwest district.
The most numerous mobile divisions are in Arkhenergo (123 people in 17 brigades), in Novgorodenergo (110 people that in 25 brigades), and in Pskovenergo (106 people in 18 brigades).
This year, IDGC of the North-West pay special attention to provision of mobile divisions with portable accommodation space and packed lunches for the staff alongside with technical maintenance of brigades.
In September-October, the interregional training will take place with application of mobile forces and means of branches of IDGC of the North-West. Arkhenergo and Vologdaenergo training is planned for 8 September on the territory of the Vologda area; on 16 - 18 September brigades of Kolenergo will study to cooperate with Karelenergo. On 8 - 9 October, Pskovenergo - Novgorodenergo training is planned in the Pskov area; on 17 October, the study of Komienergo - Vologdaenergo on the territory of the Republic of Komi will be organized.
Qualitative preparation for work during the autumn and winter period of 2008-2009 is one of the problems which were set forth by General Director of IDGC of the North-West Alexander Kuhmay before directors of branches of the power company. “We know how to act in uneasy winter conditions and we should be ready to provide reliable electric power supply of our consumers,” he said.
