OREANDA-NEWS. August 11, 2008. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is winding up the development of the General Plan for the restoration of flood-destroyed facilities. According to ministries, departments and local executive authorities, a total of 5,657 facilities were ruined, Economy Minister Bohdan Danylyshyn told a press conference.

In his words, the tentative sum required for the reconstruction effort is about UAH 6 billion. Meanwhile, the minister said, the list of the destroyed facilities is not complete, because Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi and Zakarpattia regions are still failing to submit all data.

The largest volume of restoration work must be done by UkrAvtoDor whose costs on road repairs may reach UAH 2.225 billion, and the water industry committee that needs UAH 417.5 million for the construction of dams and coastal fortifications, the minister said.
