Moldova Increased Exports of Winemaking Goods by 1,9 Times
OREANDA-NEWS. August 11, 2008. In I half of 2008, Moldova increased exports of winemaking goods by 1,9 times – from USD51,7 million up to USD 97,3 million.
As the Agro-Industrial Agency "Moldova-vin" informed, export of bottled wine in cash grew by 2.1 times - from USD 22.9 million up to USD 47.3 million. Export of Moldovan wines in barrels increased 1.9 times – from 1 million 522 thousand up to 2 million 855.2 thousand dal.
During the same period, export of sparkling and sparkling wines increased by 2.1 times - from USD 0.93 million up to USD 1.97 million, and by 2.3 times in kind - from 37.6 thousand dal. up to 85.6 thousand dal.
At the same time, export of wine in bulk grew by 55% - from USD 18.5 million up to \\$ 28.6 million. Their deliveries increased by 41% - from 2 million 600 thousand dal. up to 3 thousands 666.8 million dal.
According to "Moldova-vin", in January-June 2008, the export of cognac increased by 2.1 times - from USD 5.6 million up to USD 12 million, Moldovan deliveries abroad grew by 81% - from 134.8 thousand up to 244.1 thousand dal.
Export of wine spirits (cognac in bulk) increased by 1.9 times - from \\$ 2.6 million up to USD 5.04 million and in kind - declined by 9% - from 77.8 thousand up to 70.6 thousand dal.
Moldova mostly exports wines and cognacs to CIS. The largest importers are Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.
