OREANDA-NEWS. August 08, 2008. Mikhailovsky GOK (a subsidiary of Metalloinvest Holding) is the key player of the Kursk region’s economy, the governor Alexander Mikhailov declared it at the industrial complex meeting, reported the press-centre of Metalloinvest.

He stated that the mill currently implements a number of investment projects based on advanced technologies, upgrades the operation, launches new products and creates new jobs; it is also the most active participant of various social projects of the region.

MGOK’s managing director Sergey Kretov informed about the current targets of mill – to master the production of hot briquetted iron, to construct the indurating machine #3 and increase the production of hematite concentrate.

At the meeting A.Mikhailov handed out the state awards to 9 employees of Mikhailovsky GOK.
