OREANDA-NEWS. August 08, 2008. The Second phase of the summer athletics competition among workers of Dagestan branch of JSC “RusHydro” took place in the sport center of Bavtugai town named after Zubair Magomedov, honored power industry specialist of Russia, reported the press-centre of RusHydro.

Participants of the contests competed in the following sports: volleyball, jumps, 60m run and 100m run, shot putting, weight lifting, stone throwing, billiards and swimming.
 
These athletic competitions are held according to the sport and health program of the united trade union of hydropower industry workers. This program is aimed to form healthy habits and promote sports and fitness among the workers.

The following officials were involved in the organizational committee: M. Saidov, deputy director of Dagestan Branch of JSC “RusHydro” (the chairman); А. Magomedov, head of the united trade union; Z. Akhmedov, chief of the personnel department; P. Haibulaeva, head of the public relations department; M. Dibirov, chief of the supply department; M. Nasuhov, head of Sulak HPPs Cascade trade union; and A. Adilkhanov, head of Chirkey HPP trade union.
 
Teams from Sulak HPPs Cascade, Chirkey hydropower station and Management office of Dagestan branch of JSC “RusHydro” took part in this second phase of the summer athletic competition.
 
According to the results of the contests the following people won the competition:

Farida Omahanova, expert from the clerical work department of the Management office, won 60m run.

Islam Magomedov, specialist from regime and security department of the Management office, won 100m run.

P. Kdohina from Sulak HPPs Cascade won the first prize in the shot putting.

T. Taimashanov, T. Ganapiev and R. Tajgibov, specialists from Sulak HPPs Cascade, took the first prizes in weight lifting, stone throwing and jumping correspondingly.

G. Gamzatov, expert from Chirkey hydropower station won two first prizes: in billiards and swimming.

Chirkey HHP team won the volleyball team competition and took the first prize; teams from Sulak HPPs Cascade and Management office won the second and the third prizes.

All the winners were awarded with Diplomas of Honor, received financial gifts and valuable presents.

When the sport battles among athletes were finished, all participants of the second phase of the summer athletic competition of Dagestan branch of JSC “RusHydro” were invited to take part in the picnic organized in the local recreation area Dubkinsky Woods.
