Moldovan Export to EU Grew by 25,7% in January-June 2008
OREANDA-NEWS. August 11, 2008. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, EU countries imported 51.6% of all Moldavian goods (50.5% in January-June 2007).
At the same time, import from EU countries amounted to USD1 billion 29.6 million (39.7% more than in January-June 2007), or 44.1% of the total import (45.6% in January-June 2007).
In January-June 2008, the main partners-exporters of Moldova in EU were: Romania - USD 154.8 million (64.1% more), Italy - USD 82 million (28.1% more), Germany - USD 37, 5 million (2.4% less), Poland - USD 24 million (15.9% more), Britain - USD 18.3 million (2.4% more).
In the first half of 2008, Moldova imported products from the following EU countries: Romania - USD 298.8 million (64.2% more), Germany - USD 176 million (19.6% more), Italy - USD 154.4 million (24.5% more), Poland - USD 55.7 million (56.4% more).
