OREANDA-NEWS. August 11, 2008. Prime Minister of Russia Vladimir Putin has decreed to appoint Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation as governmental customer under several federal target programs, particularly, the federal target program for the development of the nuclear power industry of Russia in 2007–2010 and -2015. Formerly, the governmental customer of the programs was Rosatom Federal Agency for Nuclear Energy, which is now being liquidated.

The decree says that Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation has been appointed as the governmental customer of the “Recycling of Nuclear Submarines, Surface Vessels with Nuclear Reactors and Service Ships and Recovery of Onshore Bases (2005–2010)” and “Disposal of Nuclear Weapons (2005–2010)” sub-programs of the “Disposal of Military Equipment (2005–2010)” federal target program. 

Rosatom has also been appointed as the owner and coordinator of the “Nuclear and Radiation Safety (2008–2015)” federal target program.
