OREANDA-NEWS. On 11 August 2008 was announced, that seminar on strategic planning in the thinking line of sustainable development is taking place in the oil-rich Atyrau region. The target group of the educational action are the representatives of the local government, NGOs and oil companies operating in the oblast'.

Event is a cell action of the chain of the seminars that will be going on nationwide in the key cities of the country - Astana, Atyrau, Almaty, Shymkent and Ust-Kamenogorsk. Country-level coverage of the initiative will allow to create the contextual background for the implementation of the sustainable development principles. This is particularly important in the light of the regional disparities natural for territories of Kazakhstan.
