OREANDA-NEWS. On 08 August 2008 was announced, that the equipment of Shirvan heat power station which is already in operation 1,8 times more than normative parameters, are morally and physically old. As is known, at worn out equipment it is very difficult to support normal working capacity of the station. Despite of it, the collective assiduously tries before input into the building of new station, to support trouble-free operation of power object. The director of Shirvan heat power station Fazail Suleimanov has informed on it to press-service of joint-stock company "Azerenerji".

As he said, repair works on the fifth power unit are already started. Cylinders of low and high pressure and nutritious electro-pump are being repaired, the oil system of the turbine is being cleared. At the condenser, screen pipes, and at others equipment are carried out works of different purpose. Besides it the average repair works were carried out at the first power unit. Also repair works are carried out at the third and fourth power units, the operation of rotor is being adjusted. Let us note, that after the end of repair of the fifth power unit, is stipulated the major overhaul of the second power unit and the average repair of the sixth block. According to the source, at the seventh turbine was also repaired electric equipment, are replaced 220-KVt dischargers, at two transformers are eliminated oil losses.

At electro-protection of the block are carried out adjusting works for providing its reliable work. At the territory of service buildings of the station are also carried out repair works of different purpose. The equipment of open distributive object is also repaired. Now is already completed dismantle of 330-KVt air switch, works on its replacement on hely-gas switch proceeds. F.Sulejmanov has noted, that repair works are conducted in conformity to the made plan due to which are stipulated repair works at the chemical workshop, at the transfer fuel shop, at mechanical processing shop and so on. Director of the station has also told, that for maintenance of trouble-free operation of the station the collective will also work assiduously in the second half-year of 2008. Let us remind, that Shirvan heat power station is maintained since 1962. The above-stated station consists of seven blocks by capacity of 150 MVt each of them and is the first station of open type in the Europe. Now here is produced about 20% of all electric power produced in the country. Now in Shirvan has begun the construction of new power station “Djanub" by capacity of 780 MVt. At the station will take root the newest technology which will allow the station to work on gas as well as on black oil fuel.
