OREANDA-NEWS. On 08 August 2008 was announced, that TMK, one of the world’s largest oil and gas pipe producers, shipped the largest volume of pipes per month since the Company was created in 2001. In July 2008 the total volume of pipe shipments from TMK’s plants amounted to 336 thousand tonnes. It included 190 thousand tonnes of seamless pipes and 146 tonnes of welded pipes.

The previous biggest result was achieved in March, 2007 when TMK shipped 283 thousand tonnes of pipes.

The all-time high was achieved owing to a smooth production flow at all TMK’s plants as well as to expansion of TMK production assets. In June, 2008 TMK completed the acquisition of the US tubular business of IPSCO with a total annual production capacity exceeding one million tonnes of seamless and welded pipes.
