OREANDA-NEWS. On August 05, 2008 First Vice Premier of Belarus Vladimir Semashko has invited US businessmen to cooperation in developing the Belarusian agribusiness, including by means of US investments and setting up joint ventures in Belarus, reported the Official website www.government.by.

“It will be very profitable for both the sides - the Belarusian and American ones,” noted the First Vice Premier as he met with 14 businessmen, who are major US land owners, in the Dzerzhinsk region.

The American businessmen are visiting Belarus in order to get familiar with the operation of Belarusian Potash Company. During a meeting with representatives of the Belarusian government the sides talked over modern tendencies of the agribusiness market development.

Founded in 2005, ZAO Belarusian Potash Company is the world’s largest supplier of potash fertilizers made by Belaruskali (Soligorsk, Belarus) and OAO Uralkali (Berezniki, Russia). The company accounts for over one third of the international market. Its products are exported to Africa, Europe, India, China, the USA, the Pacific region, Central and South America. The BPC has a well-developed distribution network and representative offices in Beijing (China), New Delhi (India), Singapore, San Paulo (Brazil) and Chicago (the USA).
