OREANDA-NEWS. August 07, 2008. Amendments to the 2008 National Budget of Ukraine, adopted on July 31, 2008, increase by UAH 1.6 billion spending of the reserve fund of this year's national budget, and envisage subventions to Vinnytsia, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Ternopil, Chernivtsi regions and the city of Chernivtsi for elimination of natural calamity aftereffects in a total volume of UAH 2 billion, reported the Official website www.kmu.gov.ua.

Beside that, costs on formation of the state food reserve by the Agrarian Fund, and on financial support for agricultural companies via cheapening of credits were increased by UAH 1.4 billion, the Finance Ministry press service reported.

At the cost of over-fulfillment of revenues from excise duties on imports, expenditures on the development of motor roads in flood-hit regions were increased by UAH 755.4 million.

To boost budget revenues by around UAH 750 million, amendments were passed to the law on excise duties for tobacco.
