In early July a source in the banking circles said that Sberbank adopted a decision to incorporate a subsidiary, Sberbank Capital, on the basis of which the lender intends to roll out its investment business. Sberbank's press service also said that these two issues are not interrelated.

"Plans to roll out the investment business will be laid down in the lender's 5-year development program. "Sberbank Capital is only one of our legal entities which conducts operations with the existing business products" – director of Sberbank's PR Department Irina Kibina said.
