OREANDA-NEWS. On 06 August 2008 was announced, that the town of Gorno-Altaisk hosted today the 13th meeting of the Coordinating Committee for Cooperation between Gazprom and Siemens AG, co-chaired by Alexander Shaikhutdinov, Deputy Head of the Gazprom Gas Transportation, Underground Storage and Utilization Department and Dr. Dietrich Moeller, Vice President of Siemens AG, President of Siemens AG Russia.

The meeting addressed the progress in the implementation of the Agreement on Strategic Partnership and the issues of further collaboration in the oil and gas area.

The Coordinating Committee members and the Working Groups heads delivered presentations on crucial issues of bilateral cooperation in power generation, LNG production, energy saving and environmental protection as well as in offshore projects.

The parties expressed a unanimous opinion that cooperation between Gazprom and Siemens AG was developing intensively and efficiently, and had a promising future.
