OREANDA-NEWS. August 04, 2008. The Government means to direct funds, provided by the 2008 State Budget of Ukraine for the payment of depreciate savings of the USSR Oshchadbank, at indemnity payments to victims of the natural disaster in the west of Ukraine.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko told in an interview to journalists in the village of Cherepkivka of the Hlybotskyi district of the Chernivtsi region. According to Yulia Tymoshenko, such decision is proposed to be approved until final Parliament’s adoption of amendments to the State Budget for the current year aiming at complete indemnity payments to the people suffered from the disaster.

Moreover, the Prime Minister of Ukraine informed that on Wednesday during its sitting the Government to consider an issue on compensation of disaster losses to small entrepreneurs of the Ukrainian markets. According to the Head of Government, these losses amount to billions. Yulia Tymoshenko noted that she would propose to pay 5 thousand UAH to every small entrepreneur who had lost the whole property during the disaster in the west of the country.
