OREANDA-NEWS. On 04 August 2008 was announced, that in 2002-2008 EuroChem Mineral and Chemical Company, OJSC has invested more than RUR 500 mln in ecological projects of the subsidiary - EuroChem - BMU, LLC in Belorechensk. The sum has been counted up during the scheduled check up of nature protection activities of the enterprise by representatives of RosPrirodNadzor regional management. Since autumn 2002 EuroChem - BMU, LLC has become the part of EuroChem Mineral and Chemical Company, OJSC. From that time annual expenses for realization of large ecological projects and nature protection activities have increased more than twice and in 2007 have amounted to more than RUR 100 mln.

Essential decrease in emission of polluting substances in atmosphere has been fixed up on a level of 15-20 per cent below maximum permissible concentration, as a result of systematic implementation of ecological projects.

The major investment projects in basic technological shops of EuroChem - BMU, LLC are accomplished: aspiration systems are reconstructed; the technology of fertilizers dedusting was introduced into the shop of complex mineral fertilizers; the new absorptive tower was constructed and put into operation in the shop of sulphuric acid; the system of absorption was reconstructed in the shop of extractive phosphoric acid.

Commissioning of own local clearing constructions allows returning in manufacture on the closed cycle up to thousand cubic metres of drinking water daily. Construction of this object became the first stage of transition on internal-drainage system of water consumption; completion of the construction is scheduled for 2010.

The check up reveled, that EuroChem - BMU, LLC activities during last five years had never resulted in exceeding the level of maximum permissible concentration of polluting substances emission.
