OREANDA-NEWS. August 01, 2008. Introduction of "single window" principle and dynamic development of economic relations with EU, supported by autonomous trade preferences, are the most important achievements of Moldova in March-June 2008.

This is stated in the eleventh issue of the quarterly analytical edition "Euromonitor". The report was prepared with the financial support of Soros Foundation in Moldova within the frameworks of the project "Relations Moldova-EU: awareness and public discussion of major changes".

Other achievements are: ratification of the Law on sanitary and veterinary work for speeding up reforms in this area that will allow Moldovan livestock products to take a worthy place at the European market, legislative reforms in licensing and other activities. Regress is registered in the field of corruption prevention and situation with media.

The authors also noted the adverse economic conditions (increase of prices and trade deficit, growth of lei exchange rate, declining incomes of population), stagnation in updating the business environment and permanent increase in number of migrants.
