OREANDA-NEWS. August 01, 2008. ZAO ASKA Ukrainian Joint Stock Insurance Company (UASK ASKA) collected UAH 164,373,400 in insurance premiums, including UAH 133,851,400 in voluntary insurance and UAH 30,522,000 in compulsory insurance. Growth in insurance premiums made 25% as compared to H1 2007, reported the press-centre of SCM.

Amounts paid out in claims in H1 2008 made UAH 63,217,400, including UAH 52,743,500 in voluntary insurance, and UAH 10,473,900 in compulsory insurance. As compared to H1 2007, total amount of claims paid grew 50%.

So, the amounts paid out by the company in claims in H1 2008 made 38.4% (vs. 32.2% in H1 2007).

Number of insurance agreements made 96,796.

Voluntary medical insurance, property insurance, compulsory owner's motor vehicle liability insurance, and motor vehicle insurance account for the major part in the insurance portfolio of the company.
