OREANDA-NEWS. On July 30, 2008 Uzbekistan-Turkish Bank (UT-Bank) has published the report for the second quarter of 2008. According to the bank's press service, its assets reached 40,177.3 million soums as of 1 July 2008. This exceeds the sum at the end of the second quarter of the previous year by 5,956.6 million soums.

However, during the same period the bank's loans have decreased by 378 million soums to 4,845.6 million soums. The balance of deposits has grown in the second quarter to 13,836.8 million soums (against 12,484.1 million soums in the second quarter of 2007).

The bank's equity capital has increased by 825 million soums, and today it comprises 7,820.6 million soums. The bank's branch network is represented by one mini-bank.

UT-Bank Closed Joint-Stock Company (Uzbekistan-Turkish Bank) was established in 1993 in Tashkent through the capital contributions of two banks. 50% of the bank's shares belong to Ziraat Bank (Turkey) and the second half belongs to Pakhta Bank (Uzbekistan).

Today from among 30 banks operating in the territory of Uzbekistan, UT-Bank is the first bank to be established through foreign investment. The staff of over 80 people professionally provides all types of banking services to its clients.
