Currency Reserves of Moldova Increased by 1,3%
OREANDA-NEWS. July 30, 2008. Currency reserves of Moldova amounted to USD 1 billion 643,78 million, increasing by USD 21,36 million or 1,3%.
NBM informed about this, specifying that as of July 11, 2008, NBM currency reserves amounted to USD 1 billion 622.42 million.
NBM currency reserves exceeded the historical maximum of USD 1.6 billion in the first decade of July 2008; historical maximum of USD 1.5 billion was exceeded at the end of June 2008, boundary of USD 1 billion – by the end of August 2007.
As of late December 2007, the NBM currency reserves amounted to USD 1 billion 333.68 million, at the end of I quarter of 2008 – to USD 1 billion 424.29 million and at the end of I half of 2008 – to USD 1 billion 525.95 million.
By the end of 2008, the Government of Moldova plans to increase NBM currency reserves up to USD 1.7 billion.
