Lower House to Consider 2009 Budget Bill at Autumn Session
OREANDA-NEWS. July 30, 2008. The House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the third convocation plans to adopt the budget bill of Belarus for 2009 at the final, autumn, session, Vice-Speaker of the lower house of the Belarusian parliament Sergei Zabolotets said at a session of the Council of the House on July 30.
The Vice-Speaker said that the 9th session is also expected to consider the changes to the tax legislation. Sergei Zabolotets remarked, “a peculiar feature of the upcoming session is that it will be short-lived” as the elections to the lower house are scheduled for September 28, 2008. The lower house is also set to consider around 30 bills at the final session. Today the agenda includes 25 bills. Among them are the draft laws on the crime prevention measures, on border service, on administrative procedures, on credit history, on telecommunications, on information, informatization and information protection, amendments to the law on free economic zones, addenda to the law on prosecutor’s office, amendments to several codes.
