OREANDA-NEWS. July 28, 2008. Recently 16 Moldovan entrepreneurs have returned from the trade visit made in the capital of Japan Tokyo during July 14-21, reported the press-centre of Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The Delegation from the Republic of Moldova, headed by Mr. Vladimir Didilica, Vice-presidentof the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova, has visited 3 specialized exhibitions and have had meetings with the representatives of KEIDANREN NIPON and Japan Association for Trade with Russian & NIS.
 
During the period of the trade visit in Japan - the country of the Sun Rising, the participants of the Moldovan delegation have visited the events of the specialized exhibitions, taken place in Tokyo.   In this context it is worth to mention that Japan - is one of  the world leaders in developing and utilisation of the high tech in economy.
 
The Agro-Innovation exhibition, running in Tokyo and visited by the delegation from the Republic of Moldova had the aim to promote agriculture, horticulture and its related industries especially in farming and active international exchange as well as to contribute to the development of industry and improvement of technology.
 
IHE Japan, consisted of the three highly specialized shows and the specialized conference: an exhibition for agricultural/horticultural machinery, equipment, irrigation, cultivation and harvesting systems called the "IAHE Japan" show, one for fresh vegetables and fruits logistics called the "Fresh-Logi Japan" show and one for biomass and environmental conscious technology exhibition called the "ECO-Biomass Forum" and one for technology exchange between academic institutes and the industries. At the Agro-Innovation 2008 exhibition there were exhibited new products, technology, services and information from more than 250 companies.
 
At the second event the Moldovan delegation has visited Tokyo Business Show exhibition of information, telecommunication, high technologies, office equipment, etc. At this exhibition the participants have got acquainted with the leading inventions from the main industrial brunches of the economy. They could see the latest invention for initiating, running the business activity, data processing as well as other new types of goods and services for initiating additional business vis-a-vis of the basic one.   
 
The International Fashion Fair proposed the visitors textiles, ready made clothes and accessories, leather goods and shoes. At the exhibition participated exhibitors out of more than 35 countries from American, African, Asian, Australian, European  continents.
 
The participants have had the possibilities to get familiarized with the most advanced models, goods and accessories highly competitive on the global market, compare with their proper ones, discuss with the manufacturers of the exhibited goods and services.  
The Moldovan businessmen have got obtained useful information which they will analyze in  details in order to involve it in their business activity or initiate another complementary one, some of them with may be with the help of the Japanese businessmen.
 
The Program of the trade visit included also two very important meetings with the leadership of KEIDANREN NIPON and Japan Association for Trade with Russia & NIS/ ROTOBO, in the framework of which Mr.Vladimir Didilica made a presentation of the economic situation and business opportunities of the Republic of Moldova.

The Japanese officials expressed the gratitude to the head of the delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova for visiting KEIDANREN and ROTOBO, mentioning the lack of information in Japan about the Republic of Moldova, economic situation and business opportunities as well. The list of the Moldovan participants to the trade visit in Tokyo with their proposals of cooperation with the Japanese businessmen/members of ROTOBO was handed to it's representative to be insert on ROTOBO's web site aiming to be disseminated via its members.  
 
It was also mentioned that the relations established between the CCI RM and ROTOBO might be turned to good in future and estimated by the respective institutions and businessmen of both countries.
 
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova will render further assistance to the Moldovan business circles in establishing relations of cooperation with the Japanese businessmen via ROTOBO, other Japanese decision makers.
 
It is worth to mention that ROTOBO was established in January, 1967 and was officially incorporated for the public interest by the Ministry for International Trade and Industry on August, 12, 1970.  
 
ROTOBO is a unique organization engaged in promotion of trade and business cooperation between Japanese enterprises and former socialist countries of Eurasia ( Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia and Mongolia.
 
ROTOBO has nearly 200 member companies including trading firms, manufacturers, banks, securities companies, industrial associations, transportation and shipping companies, local governments and so on.
 
 ROTOBO's trade & investment promotion activities are highly appreciated among business circles and government institutions concerned in Japan as well as in the mostly abovementioned countries.
 
The aim of the trade visit to Japan was: getting familiarized of the Moldovan participants with the economic potential of the Japan market, establishing of the relations of cooperation with the Japanese and overseas businessmen.  
 
The trade visit in Japan was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Moldova, the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine, other decision makers from Japan.
