Rosatom’s Income Grew by 47%, in 1H of 2008
OREANDA-NEWS. July 29, 2008. In Jan-June 2008 the total income of Rosatom companies grew by 47% to 198bln RUR against 322.8bln RUR throughout 2007.
The export grew by 21% to USD 1.9bln against USD 3.88bln in 2007.
Uranium production grew by 5.9% to 1,809 tons, electricity generation by 4.1% to 82.1bln KWh.
In Jan-June 2008 Rosatom earned 60.6bln RUR from the sale of electricity – 23% more than in Jan-June 2007 – and paid 26.1bln RUR in taxes – 45% more.
Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation comprises all nuclear companies of Russia and owns 100% of Atomenergoprom, a holding consolidating civil nuclear companies: Atomredmetzoloto mines uranium TVEL Corporation produces nuclear fuel, Rosenergoatom Concern generates electricity, Techsnabexport exports nuclear materials and services.
Today, the Government of Russia is meeting at Elemash to discuss Rosatom’s long-term 3trl RUR development program.
