OREANDA-NEWS. On 29 July 2008 the minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Sergey Shmatko informed journalists that the Ministry of Energy intents to specify the oil export shedules jointly with oil companies and the Oil Transporting JSC “Transneft”. Minister added that the process will be in a “transparent mode”.

Rosenergo was engaged in export scheduling previously before the Ministry of Industry and Energy (Rosenergo was abolished in May 2008 with transfer of functions to the Ministry of Industry and Energy). At that a possibility to transfer the functions to “Transneft” has been at issue since 2006 but not approved. Later it was reported that this function was transferred from Rosenergo to Ministry of Industry and Energy in August 2007.
